Promo Ads​

As a Freelance Graphic Designer Jeff continued to create display ads and publications for his former employer, the Fort Myers News-Press. One such project was a series of Promotional (Promo) Ads that were designed to fill unsold column inches within the paper. Jeff created ads designed for Sports, Weather, Lifestyles etc, while the particular ad shown here promoted the newspaper’s Wheels Section. The phrase “Love Bugs” is used in this ad to describe both the nuisance insects that swarmed yearly destroying the finish of Florida cars and people’s passion for the famous Volkswagen.
